With 20 years in luxury hospitality and a life lived across four continents, Alexandra has always believed travel should feel both meaningful and effortless.
In founding Layah, her vision was to create more than itineraries – to design journeys that balance discovery with ease, intimacy with grandeur, and the freedom to savour time together without the stress of planning. Her British sensibility and global perspective, shaped by years spent in Europe, Australia, Southeast Asia, and South America, infuse each detail with thought and intention.
For Alexandra, travel is never just about where you go, but how it makes you feel. Layah exists to ensure those feelings – joy, connection and freedom – stay with you long after you return home.

Alex’s love for exploration began with Semester at Sea, sparking a lifelong passion for cultural discovery. After years as a neurosurgical physician assistant, she transitioned into travel advising, applying the same meticulous attention to detail to designing seamless, meaningful experiences.
Now a full-time traveler, she spends extended time in destinations worldwide, building trusted relationships with top suppliers and uncovering hidden gems. Alex is dedicated to creating deeply personal journeys and believes that travel fosters empathy and connection; she’s here to ensure your experience is as enriching as it is unforgettable.
